Back in April, little Abriya Ellison was paralyzed after getting shot while playing in a bouncy house in her Atlanta neighborhood. Antoine “Big Boi” Patton of Outkast fame soon caught wind of Abriya’s plight. “My brother saw her story that morning and was like, ‘Bro, we got to do something for this little girl,” Big Boi told Channel 2. So Big Boi, who breeds bulldogs, decided to present Abriya with a puppy in person at his studio. “I’ve been born ready for a puppy,” said Abriya. Channel 2 reports that Big Boi and his brother James will pay for whatever veterinary care the puppy, now named King, requires. In addition, the Patton brothers are taking care of Abriya’s medical bills and having her bathroom retrofitted so it’s handicap accessible.
