Tyrese Gibson took to Instagram on Thursday to slam Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson of delaying the release of Fast and the Furious 9 until April 2020. (The film was originally scheduled for release in April of 2019.) In a series of lengthy rants, the singer-actor accused Johnson of breaking up the Fast and Furious family and pursuing a spinoff because he has to be the center of attention. "... Fast Family...... until Dwayne showed up," Tyrese captioned a photo of the cast. "I guess this whole time he had a problem because he wasn't the ONLY ONE on the movie poster... I tried to warn you guys... You thought I was hating...I was simply fighting to keep the family together." He added, "What makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER. We don't fly solo... I got 3 years of venting on this clown. They offered but YOU didn't have to agree with a solo."In another post, Tyrese wrote, "Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother-in-law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU.... Good night, folks. See you in 2020 April. #FastFamily right? Nah... it's about #TeamDewayne. #ThreeYears will it be worth the wait? ...Will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I'm just a passionate film critic."
