Nipsey Hussle to Get All-Star Grammy Tribute From DJ Khaled, John Legend & Meek Mill
On Sunday's Grammy Awards, a star-studded tribute to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle will take place, according to The Los Angeles Times. John Legend, DJ Khaled, rapper Meek Mill, gospel singer Kirk Franklin and others will perform. “An activist, entrepreneur and rapper, Nipsey Hussle had a lasting impact on not just his community, but also the culture at large,” said Ken Ehrlich, Grammy Awards executive producer. “There is no denying the influence he had and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey’s life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It’s sure to be a memorable performance.” The 33-year-old rapper was killed last year outside one of his shops in a neighborhood that he was helping transform. Hussle is nominated for four Grammys this year, including rap album, best rap/sung performance for his song "Higher" and best rap performance and best rap song for "Racks in the Middle." The Grammy Awards will air at 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 26 on CBS.
