Fat Joe Says It's "85 Percent" Likely That He's Retiring

While appearing Monday on CBS This Morning to promote his upcoming album Family Ties, rapper Fat Joe announced that he's seriously considering retirement, The Blast reports. "I'm almost out of here," he told host Vladimir Duthiers, "I think I'm retiring. I think it's time to give it up." When pressed, Joe insisted he wasn't kidding. "I've got mad at all the other rappers who said that they're retiring and they came back. I'm a strong advocate against that so I'm really... I've been flirting with it. I'm like 85% gone." The rapper said that he wants to spend more time with his family. "My daughter's turning 14, I really want to watch my daughter. I really want to take her to school every day." He also said that he wants to get into TV and movie production, adding that he just sold a movie to Warner Bros., and has been working on projects with Kevin Hart and Rob Riggle. "I learned so much from those guys, it was an incredible opportunity," he said. "They opened up a pandora's box and I love it."
