August 15, 2018
To celebrate Astroworld hitting No. 1, Travis Scott decided to give a little something back to his fans, in the form of cold, hard cash. "So I decided to unload my bank account on u guys," he tweeted on Tuesday night. "I'm busting down $100,000 and giving away to any fans that can tweet me their cash tag with lyrics from Astro." True to his word, fans that shared their favorite lyrics with him were sent gifts of cash, ranging in size from $50 to a whopping $1,000. Astroworld was released to much fanfare on August 3.
Travis Scott will tour in support of his new album Astroworld this fall. “I’VE BEEN READY TO GET BACK ON ROAD FOR A LONG TIME!! Scott wrote on Instagram Thursday. “ASTROWORLD TOUR IS FINALLY HERE!! PRESALE NOW ON SHOP.TRAVISSCOTT.COM. ON SALE NEXT WEEK!” While the dates and venues for the tour have yet to be revealed, the rapper will hit 27 North American cities. The run will also include Scott’s first-ever Astroworld Festival, which will be held in his hometown of Houston, Texas, at TRNG Park on November 17. Scott also revealed that a limited number of season passes--“for the real ragers”--will be available. Following the North American run, Scott will take the Astroworld tour to Europe.
