Megan Thee Stallion, The Weeknd, Halsey, Selena Gomez, Dr. Fauci Named to TIME's 100 Most Influential People
TIME magazine has named its top 100 influential people of the year in its TIME 100 list, according to Pitchfork. Megan Thee Stallion, the Weeknd, Selena Gomez, Dr. Anthony Fauci and others were among those to make the list. As usual for this list, each influencer was described by another notable person or group. Megan Thee Stallion’s tribute was written by actress Taraji P. Henson. “She rode the beat like I’d never heard anybody ride the beat in a long time,” Henson wrote. The Weeknd’s entry was penned by Elton John. “Like Prince, he marches to his own beat,” John wrote. “That’s an exemplary way for an artist to be.” In the issue, BTS wrote a glowing tribute to singer Halsey, Taylor Swift wrote about Phoebe Waller Bridge, Stevie Wonder discussed Yo-Yo Ma and America Ferrera talked about Selena Gomez. In a televised special, Megan Thee Stallion talked about being "a girl's girl" and former honorees Prince Harry & Meghan Markle talked about the importance of voting in the upcoming November election.
