Dr. Dre Praises Daughter for Getting Into USC After Donating $70 Million to School
February 15, 2019
Dr. Dre took to Instagram on Sunday to praise his daughter Truly Young for getting "into USC all on her own," despite having donated millions to the school back in 2013. The music mogul seemed to have conveniently forgotten this key fact when he posted the photo, joking in the caption that unlike other parents of students who got into the school via illegal bribes, he wouldn't be serving "no jail time." The rapper deleted the post after People pointed out that Dre and business partner Jimmy Iovine gave $70 million to establish the University of Southern California Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation six years ago. Before deleting the post, celebrities including Busta Rhymes, Nick Cannon, T.I., Timbaland, and Diddy had commented on or liked the photo.
