Ventura County's 40th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
You're invited to Ventura County's 40th Annual National Observance Program and celebration for the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Monday, January 19th at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. This celebration will begin at 8 a.m. with the annual Freedom March from Plaza Park on 5th Street to the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. Transportation from Plaza Park to the Performing Arts Center will be available for the march only. The observance program will follow the Freedom March at 9 a.m. featuring spiritual musical selections, youth participants, and more. This year's theme is a living legacy cultivating compassion and justice in Ventura County with this year's keynote speaker Dr. Gaye Theresa Johnson all are welcome to participate in Ventura County's 40th annual national observance program and celebration for the reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday January 19th. Tickets are just ten dollars for this event and available online at mlkventuracounty.com or in person on the day of the event.
